Major Problems of Communication and Information In Regards To NYCHA Public Housing Community

There are 4 major problems informing the NYCHA residents and the community.
1. Not finding out or finding out important events and activities such as request to participate, meetings, trips, proposals, regulations, policies, budget, news, flyers, etc.  LATE - not giving the public appropriate amount of time to process vital information - read carefully, research, understand, view, validate, concerns, pros/con, different perspectives, discuss, question, response, oppose/agree, and act. More importantly prepare to fight intelligently after one or a group of people strategies effectively.

2. Not keeping the public, residents, and community well informed or up-dated especially if these events and meetings are on-going. It's everyone - regardless if they do or don't join or are involve in an association, committee, organization, event, and every association, committee, or organization - responsibility and assistance to read carefully and be well informed not just for their own best interest but for the public's interest as well

There are a lot of vital information -  including any association, committees, and organization -that effect ALL our lives that people need to look into closely and response and support. There are times monthly meetings will be missed or canceled. Monthly meeting minutes are often not available or public view. Issues and actions that affect people's lives and their community could be brought up without the public knowledge at any given time. Look at the dates of these articles concerning housing, city or state budget, policies, laws, any article that affects our daily life, well-being, and future. Was the issues ever known, informed, or discussed in any of the public housing tenant association meetings? Are the vital information publicly discussed or pass on?  So how could one expect constant participation, response and action? Speaking on the public behalf, it shows a lack of respect, concern, and acknowledgement on issues that affect their well-being, safety, and future.

Politics and people in government and in organization even in public housing are like the weather - unpredictable. They are often misleading by causing distractions - popular demands, protests, praises and supposedly giving people "opportunities" that were their rights to voice to be a part of anyway - manipulating causes to be swayed their way by opening the door to "opportunities", when and how they want these opportunities to be presented and work on; and preventing people from fully receiving vital information to avoid questions or show causes of their plans, whether their actions are legitimate and money is received and spent legally and appropriate according to regulations, laws, policies, agreements, contracts, etc.

They also know there are problems like another related adult individual living in public housing illegally because this individual can not afford HUD affordable housing. This is a lose to everyone because the individual is afraid to vote, claim taxes, or be claim as dependent that require or show where they are living and fear the consequences for all involve. They will not acknowledge the problems, address them, or account for them... If so, the percentage for those with low income to $35,000 to apply would have been much higher for affordable housing. ... so they implore moles and improvise bullish tactics even to the point to question your responsibility, integrity, knowledge, and hope for the better future for people to keep silent and do nothing. Nice, huh?

3. Removal of vital information. This action controls, delays, or prevent public knowledge, awareness, action and response. Information and resources on education, training, and assistance are removed to keep people down and to keep supporters and tenant association from helping people in the community.

4. Flyers. Organizations, politicians, representative and district leaders, even NYCHA and NYCHA Associations do not give the public important information to make accurate decision. There is limited or lack of information to sway the public to what that expect them to response and act without time and reviewing any act of discrepancy. The lack of information does not catch the attention of the public. Some believe that for the public to get information they must come to their meetings. This is a tactic to raise attendance, support, or members but the public do not want their time wasted if their interests, concerning the issues they have to deal with or information they need, are not taken seriously, taken to heart and truly are commitment to have positive and productive resolutions.

More often the purpose of this lack of communication stems to control how and what NYCHA residents should act, response, feel, think, participate, and involvement in order to move forward with a plan. The lack of communication and being deceived and misled infuriates the residents. Not only are they view poorly by the public and myths of who lives in public housing, they being manipulated and being claimed as unreasonable, not wanting changes, not understanding clearly, being judged uncommitted and not compassionate of a cause, and being question their integrity to move forward for a better future and improvement. This is a exploit to prevent any real support for NYCHA residents, hide the truth, and not listen to who they really are, what they do, and more importantly what they go through. Furthermore, it undermines what they concerns and hope for the better future and changes need to be made.

Quite frankly, no residents, community, or public can not be expected and will not take action, response, participate or get involve if these problems are not being solved.
